An exciting opportunity has become available for an SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary school on a full-time basis with a September start available.

About the Role

The SEN Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet the varying needs of Secondary learners within a structured and therapeutic environment.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering functional English, Maths, and life skills sessions
  • Preparing students for independent living and future employment
  • Creating engaging and accessible learning opportunities
  • Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working within SEN settings
  • Comfortable teaching Secondary with additional needs
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Experience with autism and MLD is highly desirable
