SEN teachers and tutors required in and around the Croydon area to work 1-to-1 with a range of SEN children aged between 4-21 in a variety of outreach settings. We are seeking experienced, dedicated, caring, and qualified teachers and tutors who have the ability to work autonomously with children that have a wide range of special educational needs.

Support is provided in alternative educational settings and can take place in the child's home, a local library or at a school. You will be expected to be able to assess the learner's current working levels and plan and implement a bespoke programme of study that addresses their needs in line with their EHCP.

You should have:

  • Good working knowledge of the National Curriculum for SEN
  • A UK recognised teaching qualification
  • At least 2 years SEN/D teaching/tutoring experience in the UK
  • A DBS registered on the update service (if not you can apply for a new DBS with Remedy)
  • A passion to work with and help SEN students progress
  • Safeguarding training up to level 2
