SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Days: Wednesday - Friday
Start: ASAP
Pay: £100-£110 per day
Contract: Part-Time, Long-Term
Remedy Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Tower Hamlets that is looking for an experienced Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team three days per week.
The role will involve supporting pupils within an Early Years class with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties and complex learning needs.
The Role
- Supporting pupils within an SEN Early Years classroom
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting children with Autism and communication needs
- Helping pupils with emotional regulation and engagement
- Supporting learning through play and structured activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
- Supporting personal care where required
- Helping maintain a safe, calm and positive classroom environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working within Early Years or SEN
- Confident supporting children with additional and complex needs
- Patient, caring and reliable
- Good understanding of safeguarding
- Comfortable supporting personal care where required
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain oneThis would suit someone looking for a consistent Wednesday to Friday SEN role within a specialist school.
