We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for a Secondary School in Greenwich. This is a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing excellent customer service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors. This school is a specialist setting dedicated to supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs who are unable to attend mainstream school. They pride themselves on creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Location: Greenwich, South East London

Rate: 16 - 17 per hour

Contract: Long term, ongoing

Hours: 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday

Start Date: September 2026

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and incoming calls, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
  • Manage the school's reception area and maintain security protocols for signing in and out.
  • Handle general administrative tasks, including managing emails, filing, and updating records.
  • Support the wider admin team with tasks such as scheduling appointments and preparing documents.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures at all times.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is essential, preferably within a school.
  • Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using school systems (training provided).
