Remedy is working with a welcoming and well-organised Secondary school seeking an experienced and resilient Administrative Assistant to join their team. This is a front-facing, fast-paced role with the opportunity to transition from agency to a permanent position.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office, working closely with senior leaders. Acting as the first point of contact for parents, staff and visitors, you will maintain a professional and welcoming environment while managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to senior leadership
- Manage complex diaries, meetings, and school communications
- Coordinate supply staff and daily cover arrangements
- Handle enquiries via phone, email and in person with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records and data using school systems - Arbour
- Support HR processes including recruitment administration and compliance checks
- Assist with pupil admissions, records and general office organisation
- Contribute to safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in a busy school office environment
- Need to have SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor experience
- Highly organised with excellent multitasking and time management skills
- Resilient and calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and confident dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Experience managing diaries and coordinating staffing/cover arrangements
- Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Professional, proactive and able to use initiative
