Are you an experienced and passionate PMLD Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can make a genuine difference? A specialist SEN school based in Waltham Forest is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils with additional needs and wants to be part of a supportive, nurturing school environment.

The School

  • Specialist SEN Setting - A welcoming environment supporting pupils with a range of additional and complex needs.
  • Supportive Team - Work alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider support staff to provide the best possible outcomes for pupils.
  • Personalised Learning - The school focuses on individual needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes, ensuring every pupil receives the right support to progress.

The Role

  • Teach a small class of pupils within a specialist SEN setting.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based around individual needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN and complex learning needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils and create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute towards EHCP targets and reviews.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning styles and abilities.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
  • Experience working within an SEN setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, SLD, PMLD or other additional needs.
  • A patient, creative and nurturing approach to teaching.
  • Confident working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
