Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive school based in South East London from September. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour, ADHD, ASD, trauma, or additional learning needs.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning
- Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Supporting classroom routines, transitions and structured activities
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive decision-making
- Helping maintain a calm and safe learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience in behaviour support, SEN, youth work, mentoring, coaching, care or education
- Be calm, confident and resilient
- Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Be reliable, proactive and professional
- Be available from September
