Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We're looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring KS2 Teaching Assistant to join the fantastic team at a Specialist SEND School in Lewisham starting ASAP.
This school specialises in education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH. Their multi-disciplinary team works seamlessly to support pupils who have experienced adversity, trauma, and associated mental health challenges, helping them thrive and succeed.
Location: Lewisham
Salary: Β£105 - Β£120 per day
Contract: Term Time Only - Full Time
Hours: 8:30am - 4pm
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons to a small class of 7 pupils (one of which receives 1:1 support)
- Providing in-class support for individual students and small groups
- Creating a fun, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Developing and implementing bespoke interventions for students in partnership with teaching staff

- Able to set firm boundaries while building positive relationships
- Able to demonstrate patience whilst relationships develop
- High energy, creativity and the ability to effectively support individual pupil needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with SEN children in an educational setting
- A passion for education and helping students thrive
- A relevant TA qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary
