We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join a specialist provision in Ealing. This role involves supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by delivering engaging, differentiated lessons within a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for Key Stage 3 students with SEND.
  • Support students with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans and support EHCP targets.
  • Adapt teaching methods, resources, and classroom activities to meet varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence.
  • Monitor, assess, and record student progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and senior staff.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and support students' emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, and inclusion at all times.
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities where required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with KS3 students within SEN, alternative provision, or inclusive educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching approaches.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and assessment skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • SEN specialism or additional SEND qualifications/training.
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
  • Team Teach, PECS, Makaton, or trauma‑informed practice training.
  • Experience working within specialist provisions or alternative education settings.
