We are working with a PRU setting who are looking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support Year 10 and Year 11 students through targeted numeracy and literacy booster sessions. This role involves working with up to 4 students throughout the day, helping to build confidence, close learning gaps, and support positive engagement in a structured and supportive environment.

The role:

  • Deliver numeracy and literacy booster sessions to small groups (up to 4 students)
  • Support a mixed cohort of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement within a PRU setting
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support progress and attainment

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience working as a HLTA, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision
  • Is confident delivering numeracy and literacy interventions
