Remedy Education are looking for experienced and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support schools across East London. This role is ideal for confident support staff who are able to lead small groups, cover lessons when required, and work closely with class teachers to raise pupil progress. We are working with a variety of schools who are looking for reliable HLTAs for both immediate and upcoming roles.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils across the classroom, small groups and 1:1 sessions
- Leading learning activities and interventions
- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
- Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
- Assisting with planning, preparation and classroom resources
- Helping to manage behaviour and encourage pupil engagement
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and senior leadership teams
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous HLTA or strong Teaching Assistant experience
- Be confident leading groups and supporting whole-class learning
- Have excellent communication and organisation skills
- Be calm, patient and professional
- Be able to support pupils with a range of needs and abilities
- Hold HLTA status or have equivalent school-based experience
