Are you a compassionate Behaviour Mentor with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Remedy Education is recruiting for a full-time Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming SEMH performing arts school in Islington this September.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
- Help implement Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) and targeted strategies
- Use a child-centred approach to manage challenging behaviours effectively
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and the pastoral team
- Monitor progress and contribute to behaviour reports and intervention plans
Requirements
- Experience working in a primary school setting is essential
- Proven background supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication, resilience, and teamwork skills
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting pupils' needs
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
