Remedy Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Barking who are looking for a confident HLTA to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6. This role is focused on Maths and English intervention support, so the school need someone who is confident with the Upper KS2 curriculum and able to help pupils close gaps in learning.
The role:
- ASAP start
- Full time
- £120 - £160 per day
- Year 5 and Year 6 support
- Small group and 1:1 intervention work
You will be working closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support in Maths and English, run small group sessions and help pupils build confidence before key assessments. There may also be some class cover when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a primary school
- Strong knowledge of Year 5 and Year 6 Maths and English
- Experience delivering interventions or booster sessions
- Good behaviour management
- Confidence supporting small groups and 1:1 pupils
- Previous HLTA experience or confidence covering pre-planned lessons
