Secondary Tutor - Tuition & Targeted Learning

Location: Hounslow Salary: £41,133 per annum Grade: SO2/PO1 Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-Time (35 hours per week), All Year Round

Remedy Tutors are recruiting on behalf of our client for Secondary Tutors to join their Tuition and Targeted Learning Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting young people who are unable to access mainstream education.

You will provide flexible, personalised tuition to secondary-aged students with SEND, medical needs or other barriers to learning, helping them achieve positive educational outcomes and re-engage with learning.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent position working throughout the year.

These roles are not term-time only, and successful candidates will work during school holiday periods in line with their annual leave entitlement.

The Role

Deliver high-quality, personalised tuition to secondary-aged students.

Teach on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

Deliver engaging lessons across your specialist subject(s), including GCSE or equivalent where appropriate.

Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet each student's individual needs.

Deliver tuition in learners' homes, schools, community venues and online where appropriate.

Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and transition planning.

Work collaboratively with families, schools, colleges and other professionals to support each learner's educational journey.

Promote inclusive practice and help students build confidence, independence and resilience.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a recognised teaching qualification, including QTS / PGCE, Has a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience.

Has strong subject knowledge and experience teaching at secondary level, including GCSE or equivalent.

Has experience supporting young people with SEND, medical needs or other barriers to education.

Can confidently adapt teaching and learning to meet individual needs.

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive educational practice.

Is confident using educational technology and digital learning resources.
