We are looking for a qualified and engaging 1:1 tutor to support a Year 10 student based in Horley (RH6) United Kingdom.
Location: Student's home in Horley
Hours: 5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Time: 9:30am-10:30am or 10:30am-11:30am
Duration: Initial 2-week placement, subject to extension based on the student's engagement and progress
Start: ASAP
About the student: The student is currently not attending school but has access to online learning. They require support to help them engage with and access GCSE core subjects, with a focus on building routine and confidence. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach will be key to supporting re-engagement with learning in a positive way.
The ideal tutor will:
- Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent)
- Have experience delivering GCSE core subjects
- Be confident supporting students outside of a mainstream school setting
- Be able to support engagement with online learning platforms
