Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Remedy are seeking a passionate and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a team at a school in Braintree. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the teacher and senior leaders to support the learning and development of students.
Responsibilities of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons to groups of students or individuals as directed by the class teacher.
- Supporting the teacher with planning and preparation of lessons and learning materials
- Assessing student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
- Managing behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
- Providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs, including those with SEND
- Undertaking administrative duties as required
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 and 2
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Ability to lead and deliver pre-planned lessons to groups of students or individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage own workload
- Experience working with children with additional needs, including those with SEND
