Remedy Education are looking for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a school based in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident SENCO who has strong knowledge of SEND provision, EHCPs, interventions and inclusive practice. The school are looking for someone organised, proactive and passionate about ensuring pupils with additional needs receive the right support to make strong progress.

Role Details

  • Position: SENCO
  • Location: East London
  • Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full-time / Part-time considered

  • School Type: Primary / Secondary School Setting

The Role

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
  • Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews, interventions and pupil support plans
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff and senior leaders to ensure inclusive practice
  • Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies and local authorities
  • Monitor pupil progress and ensure support is targeted and effective
  • Support staff with strategies for pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Maintain accurate SEND records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous SENCO experience within a school setting
  • NASENCO qualification is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of SEND, EHCPs and the Code of Practice
  • Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Excellent organization, communication and leadership skills
  • Confidence working with staff, parents and external professionals
  • A proactive, calm and professional approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEND
