Remedy Tutors is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and motivated Desk Assistant / Resourcer to join our busy and growing tutor team. We specialise in providing tuition and educational support to looked-after children and young people with special educational needs, and our tutors play an incredibly important role in helping the young people we work with reach their potential.
About the role
As a Resourcer, your main responsibility will be to find, contact and register new tutors to join our growing network. This is a fast-paced, varied and people-focused role, with a large part of your day spent speaking with potential candidates over the telephone. You'll be responsible for building relationships with tutors, discussing opportunities with them and guiding them through the registration process. No previous recruitment or resourcing experience is required. We'll provide full on-the-job training and ongoing support to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to succeed.
What we're really looking for is someone who is outgoing, driven, confident on the phone and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:
- An excellent and professional telephone manner
- A confident, outgoing and friendly personality
- Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel
- The ability to multitask and prioritise
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Some knowledge or experience of the education sector would be an advantage, but is not essential
- A positive, hardworking and can-do attitude
- The drive and ambition to learn, develop and progress
