Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated ASD Teacher to join a well-established specialist SEN school in Romford. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a nurturing and highly structured learning environment. The school caters for children with Autism and associated learning needs, providing a personalised curriculum designed to develop communication, independence, emotional regulation and academic achievement. You will be joining a supportive team that places pupils' wellbeing and progress at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

As an ASD Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism. Working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will create a safe, structured and stimulating classroom where every child can thrive. The curriculum combines academic learning with communication, sensory integration, life skills and social development, ensuring pupils are equipped with the skills they need both inside and outside the classroom.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within an SEN or mainstream setting.
  • Have EYFS, Primary or SEN teaching experience.
  • Be confident planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
