About the Role

Remedy Tutors are working with a welcoming and well-organised primary school in Romford who are seeking an experienced School Admin / Attendance Officer to join their office team on a full-time basis. This is a key front-office role supporting daily attendance, safeguarding procedures, and general school administration. You will work closely with the Office Manager and Family Liaison Officer to ensure effective monitoring of pupil attendance and communication with parents/carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing and maintaining daily registers accurately
  • Making first-day absence calls to parents/carers
  • Monitoring and following up on pupil attendance
  • Running and producing attendance reports
  • Supporting the Office Manager with general administrative duties
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
  • Acting as a professional and welcoming point of contact for parents and visitors

About You

  • Previous experience working in a school office or similar admin environment
  • Strong understanding of attendance procedures
  • Confident making telephone calls to parents/carers
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy school office
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
