Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference? We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Epping/Ongar that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school where pupil wellbeing, personalised support and long-term development are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
  • Willing to support personal care where needed
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
