Are you an English Graduate eager to gain meaningful experience working with young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Remedy are looking for empathetic, driven, and academically strong English Graduates to join our outstanding partner schools across South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, while developing the skills needed for a future career in Education, Teaching, or Child Development.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with students aged 11-18 who have a range of SEND needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
- Support teachers in creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments.
- Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need.
What we’re looking for
- A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in English from a leading UK university.
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting those with additional learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and patience at the core of your approach.
- Any experience working with children or vulnerable individuals - whether through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, or volunteering - is highly valued.
