We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school based in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in the early stages of their education. The school is looking for a nurturing, reliable, and proactive EYFS TA who can help create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

The Role

  • Supporting children within an EYFS / Reception setting
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Supporting children with early literacy, phonics, numeracy, communication, and social development
  • Helping set up creative and play-based learning activities
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, routines, and independence
  • Supporting children during transitions, snack times, outdoor play, and classroom activities
  • Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous EYFS, nursery, childcare, or school-based experience
  • Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence in supporting young children's learning and development
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child wellbeing
  • Reliability, proactivity, and ability to use their own initiative
