Remedy Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Newham who are looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive setting.
About the Role
You will be providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including behavioural needs. This role is key in helping students stay engaged, regulate emotions, and make consistent progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and planning
- Manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEN and challenging behaviour (school setting preferred)
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Full CV covering the last 10 years (with gaps explained)
