Pay: £150-£200 per day
Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

Are you a skilled hairdresser who would love to make a difference beyond the salon?
Remedy Education is looking for a passionate and hands‑on Hairdressing Instructor to join a specialist SEMH school in Tower Hamlets, East London.
This is a unique opportunity to use your hairdressing skills to inspire young people, build their confidence and teach practical skills in a supportive educational environment.
The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, some of whom may struggle in traditional classroom settings.
The ideal candidate will be approachable, patient and confident in engaging young people who benefit from practical, hands‑on learning.
The Role:
- Deliver practical hairdressing sessions, including cutting, styling and grooming.
- Teach pupils valuable techniques and encourage them to develop new skills.
- Build positive relationships and promote confidence, self‑esteem and independence.
- Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Encourage positive communication, engagement and decision-making.
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams to support pupils' progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Hairdressing qualification, or has equivalent professional experience.
- Has strong practical skills in cutting, styling and general hairdressing.
- Is outgoing, patient, reliable and confident working with young people.
- Can build trust and maintain positive boundaries.
- Has experience in SEN, SEMH, youth work, mentoring or a similar setting (desirable).
- Has an Enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one.
- Teaching qualifications are not essential!
