About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Part time SEN Teaching Assistant to work on Monday and Tuesdays. This will be supporting students in KS2 with EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings
- Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate strategies
- Support pupils with personal care where required
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and agency staff
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting (essential or highly desirable)
- Be patient, nurturing, and resilient
- Have a good understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice
- Be flexible and reliable, with a positive, proactive attitude
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) or equivalent experience
