Are you passionate about supporting young minds and making a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated, energetic, and caring KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist SEND School in Lewisham starting ASAP. This school specialises in education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH. Their multi-disciplinary team works to support pupils who have experienced adversity, trauma, and associated mental health challenges, helping them thrive and succeed.
Location: Lewisham
Salary: 105 - 120 per day
Contract: Term Time Only - Full Time
Hours: 8:30am - 4pm
Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons to a small class of 7 pupils (one of which receives 1:1 support).
- Providing in-class support for individual students and small groups.
- Creating a fun, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Developing and implementing bespoke interventions for students in partnership with teaching staff.

- Able to set firm boundaries while building positive relationships.
- Able to demonstrate patience whilst relationships develop.
- High energy, creativity and the ability to effectively support individual pupil needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with SEN children in an educational setting.
- A passion for education and helping students thrive.
- A relevant TA qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary.
