BSL Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | Immediate Start | South East London Remedy Education is currently looking for a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in East London. This long-term role starts ASAP and continues for the entire academic year where you will be supporting a male pupil in year 11. The role is within the SEN department of a thriving and very successful secondary school in East London. Good interpersonal skills are essential for the role as well as an ability to confidently communicate using British Sign Language, accordingly you should have a BSL level 2 qualification as a minimum. Key Details: Role: BSL Teaching Assistant Location: SE12, South East London Start Date: Immediate Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday) Rate: £90-£115 per day What You\’ll Be Doing: Providing in-class support to students with hearing impairments Confidently translating spoken language into BSL in a mainstream classroom setting Working closely with the SEN department to ensure students receive tailored and effective support Acting as a Communication Support Worker where required What We\’re Looking For: Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification (essential) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Passion for inclusion and equal opportunities in education Previous experience in an SEN or educational setting is desirable but not required Why This Role?
