Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a supportive primary school in Lewisham on a short-term basis until the end of the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to lead and manage SEND provision, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
The Role
- Lead and manage the school's SEND provision
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Oversee and review EHCPs, IEPs and provision plans
- Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies
- Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive teaching strategies
- Monitor pupil progress and ensure interventions are effective
- Support safeguarding and promote a fully inclusive school environment
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or working towards it
- Proven experience working as a SENCO within a primary school
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience managing EHCP processes and multi-agency working
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
