Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Contract: 4-5 days per week, term time only

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join a supportive primary school in Lewisham on a short-term basis until the end of the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to lead and manage SEND provision, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed.

The Role

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision
  • Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Oversee and review EHCPs, IEPs and provision plans
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive teaching strategies
  • Monitor pupil progress and ensure interventions are effective
  • Support safeguarding and promote a fully inclusive school environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or working towards it
  • Proven experience working as a SENCO within a primary school
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience managing EHCP processes and multi-agency working
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
