We are currently looking for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a busy school in Lambeth on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker or site assistant who is confident working independently, takes pride in maintaining a safe school environment, and is comfortable using their own initiative throughout the day.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:10am - 4:10pm
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site, ensuring the premises remain safe, clean, secure, and well-presented at all times.
Responsibilities Include:
- Opening and securing the school site daily
- Carrying out basic maintenance and repairs
- Setting up classrooms, halls, and school events when required
- Monitoring health & safety around the school site
- Liaising with contractors and school staff
- Completing basic administrative/site tasks using school computer systems
- Reporting maintenance concerns and site issues promptly
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous caretaker, premises, or site assistant experience
- Be computer literate and confident using basic systems/emails
- Be reliable, organised, and hardworking
- Be able to work independently and use their own initiative
- Have a good understanding of health & safety procedures
