Remedy Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist provision based in Lewisham. You’ll join a supportive team in an Ofsted-rated Good Alternative Provision, working with students from KS1 to KS4 who have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion. The role focuses on breaking down barriers to learning, building trust and positive relationships, and giving young people the tools they need for a brighter future. - Pay: From £110 - £120 per day
Experience, Training & Qualifications
- Previous teaching or classroom experience is desirable (SEN experience ideal, but not essential if you have the right attitude)
- Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour would be an advantage
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH needs
- Energetic, proactive, and keen to get involved with classroom activities
- Positive attitude and resilience to work effectively with vulnerable students
- Level 3 qualifications are desirable
Eligibility
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service, or be willing to apply for one
- Be able to provide two professional child-related references
