If so, we are looking for an exciting Autism Support Assistant to join one of our leading SEN Secondary School for the new term. The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.Requirements: Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers. Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours. Safeguarding experience.
