Remedy Education are looking for a reliable and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a school setting. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong premises, caretaking or site experience who is confident supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a school site. The school are looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and able to help maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Role Details:

  • Position: Assistant Site Manager
  • Location: Waltham Forest
  • Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Start Date: ASAP

The Role:

  • Support the Site Manager with the daily running and maintenance of the school site
  • Carry out general repairs, maintenance and site checks
  • Ensure the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained
  • Assist with opening and locking up the school site when required
  • Monitor health and safety across the premises
  • Support with cleaning checks, deliveries and contractor access
  • Help set up rooms and spaces for school events and daily activities
  • Report any site issues and respond quickly to maintenance requests
  • Work closely with the school office, senior leadership team and wider site staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous caretaking, premises or site experience
  • Experience working in a school or education setting is desirable
  • Strong practical maintenance skills
  • Good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • A reliable, flexible and hands-on approach
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Confidence dealing with contractors, staff and visitors
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
