Do you wish to take on an ASD Primary Teaching Assistant role? If so, we are looking for an exciting ASD Primary Teaching Assistant to join one of our leading secondary schools for the new term. You will be supporting a year 7 pupil with ASD(Autism) who is on the moderate end of the autistic spectrum.

The ideal ASD Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

ASD Primary Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
