Administrative Assistant - Primary School | Newham Location: Newham, East London Position: Administrative Assistant Contract: Full-time / Term-time Start Date: ASAP Pay: £110-£130 per day Remedy Education are currently looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newham, East London. This is a busy front-office role where you will be supporting the day-to-day running of the school and acting as a key point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors. Key responsibilities will include: Providing general administrative support across the school office Answering telephone calls, emails and parent enquiries Maintaining accurate pupil and attendance records Updating school databases and systems such as Arbor Using spreadsheets, Google systems and Microsoft Office Supporting with admissions, attendance and general school correspondence Greeting visitors and managing reception duties Supporting senior leaders and the wider admin team where required Handling confidential information in line with safeguarding and GDPR procedures The ideal candidate will have: Previous administrative experience within a school or education setting Experience using Arbor or a similar school management system Strong IT skills, including spreadsheets and Google/Microsoft systems Excellent communication and organisational skills A good understanding of pupil attendance procedures The ability to manage a busy workload and work well under pressure A professional, friendly and approachable manner This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced School Administrator, Receptionist, Attendance Administrator or Office Assistant looking for a new role in Newham.
