ADHD Teaching Assistant Secondary School ASAP North London A leading Secondary School in Newham, North London, is searching for an ADHD Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 8 with ADHD (on the mild side of the spectrum). You will support a Year 8 student who has moderate ADHD, capable of functioning at a high level but requiring additional support with behaviour and concentration. ADHD Teaching Assistant Job Details Job Title: ADHD Teaching Assistant Duty: Working 1:1 with a child in a Year 8 class Contract: Full Time, Long Term (Full Academic Year) Location: Tottenham, North London Rate: £95 – £110 per day (paid weekly) What We Offer: Excellent training & support The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
