We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant or Support Worker who will be working alongside a tutor who has previous experience working with a range of disabilities such as:

  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory disabilities
  • Cognitive or intellectual disabilities
  • Psychiatric disabilities
  • Neurological disabilities
  • Development disabilities
  • Learning disabilities
  • Speech and Language Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Assistance:
    • Help with tasks such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
    • Assist with mobility (e.g., transfers from bed to wheelchair).
    • Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Health and Well-being Support:
    • Assist with medication management, ensuring the individual takes prescribed medications at the right time.
    • Monitor health conditions and alert health care professionals if required.
    • Assist with dietary needs, including preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Emotional and Social Support:
    • Offer companionship and emotional support to alleviate loneliness or anxiety.
    • Engage in social activities, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
    • Provide encouragement and motivational support, helping individuals achieve their personal goals.
  • Assistance with Mobility and Transportation:
    • Help individuals move around, whether by walking, using mobility aids, or transportation.
    • Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, or community outings as needed.
