Remedy Education are looking for a creative and confident 1:1 Music Tutor to work within an SEMH school based in East London. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs through music, creativity and structured learning. The school are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, engage hard-to-reach learners and use music as a positive tool to support confidence, expression and emotional development.
The ideal candidate will have experience using music production systems and be confident supporting students who may display challenging behaviour or struggle to engage in a traditional classroom setting.
Role Details:
- Location: East London
- Pay: £110-£125 per day
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Start Date: ASAP / September roles available

The Role:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 music support for students with SEMH needs
- Use music production systems to engage, motivate and support learning
- Deliver creative sessions focused on music, production, confidence and self-expression
- Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
- Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
- Adapt sessions to meet individual learning styles and needs
- Use music as a tool to support communication, creativity and personal development
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and support teams
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience using music production systems or music technology
- A strong background in music, tutoring, mentoring or creative education
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Confidence working 1:1 with students who may need additional emotional support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience within SEMH, PRU, Alternative Provision, youth work or mentoring is desirable
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
