We have a great opportunity for a Specialty Doctor in General Medicine for a large and innovative NHS Trust. As a Specialty Doctor in General Medicine, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading clinical decision-making, and mentoring junior doctors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including conducting thorough assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and participate in clinical meetings, ward rounds, and case discussions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical trainees, providing guidance and support for their development.
  • Lead on-call shifts and provide emergency medical care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with NHS policies and data protection regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, and research initiatives to enhance the quality of care.
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) to stay updated with the latest medical practices and treatments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a licence to practise.
  • IELTS or OET qualification.
  • Full MRCP.
  • Experience in general medicine or related medical fields, with a strong understanding of clinical practices.
