On behalf of a recently refurbished elderly Care Home in Southampton, we are currently seeking passionate Care Assistants on Day shifts to join their dedicated care team on permanent contracts.
- Days: 8am-8pm, 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm
- Up to £14.50 per hour!
- 15 bedded elderly care home
- Recently underwent an extensive renovation
This attractive Residential Care Home is run by an independent, family owned company and offers a charming and welcoming environment with great home comforts and communal areas. The care home is based on the edge of Southampton town centre, easily commutable on public transport, a 5-minute walk from Southampton Central, and free parking onsite. They have full or part time positions available, with contracts up to 48 hours per week.
Full training and inductions will be provided from Senior Care Assistants and senior staff members to any new Carers joining the care team, and ongoing support and guidance is always available.
Care Assistant main duties:
- Providing personal care such as assisting with bathing, dressing and using the toilet
- Support with manual handling and assisting residents to move around the home, using the correct equipment where required
- Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants to provide a high quality of person-centred care
- Assisting residents with food and drink throughout the day
- Promoting residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full in their later years
Desirable for Care Assistants:
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker within a care home or care environment
- NVQ’s within Health and Social Care / the Care Certificate (Full training will be required)
