Are you an experienced early years professional who is ready to take the next step in your career? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Room Manager to join a welcoming and supportive nursery setting in South Bermondsey. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Level 3 qualified early years professional who is passionate about leading a team and creating an environment where children can learn, explore and thrive.

About the Role:

As a Room Manager, you will play an important role in creating a positive environment for both children and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of Early Years Practitioners within your room
  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the room
  • Providing high-quality care and education in accordance with the EYFS
  • Planning and delivering engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting children's individual learning, development and wellbeing
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with children, parents and carers
  • Completing observations and maintaining accurate records of children's progress
  • Supporting practitioners with planning and implementing learning opportunities
  • Encouraging a positive, inclusive and supportive team environment
  • Supporting colleagues through coaching, guidance and constructive feedback
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Working closely with the wider nursery management team
  • Helping to create an environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore
