A passionate and dedicated individual is required to help run an established Residential Care Home in Romford as their new Residential Care Manager / Head of Care. The ideal candidate will have previous managerial and team leading experience in an elderly care home setting, with good leadership skills and a strong personality.
This purpose-built, modern home specialises in elderly care and they are a part of an independent, family-owned care company. The Residential Care Manager position is a full time, permanent role paying a very competitive starting salary. You will be working 40 hours per week with core shifts 8am-4pm / 9am-5pm.
As Residential Care Manager you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, oversight and support to the care team to ensure that residents receive safe, person-centered, dignified and high-quality care at all times. The Care Manager will be a key part of the home’s management structure, supporting the Home Manager and Deputy Manager by taking responsibility for key areas of care delivery, staff practice, care documentation, safeguarding, medication oversight, care audits, resident wellbeing and day-to-day operational care standards. You will act as a visible leader within the home, supporting Senior Carers and Care Assistants to deliver consistent, compassionate and effective care in line with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and best practice.
Previous Residential Care Manager or Head of Care experience is preferred. The successful candidate will need to be able to carry out supervisions of staff members, book in medication, carry out audits and work in partnership with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
Residential Care Manager Skills and Experience:- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care minimum
- Medication trained
- Experience of working within a Care Home environment
- Proficient with: Care plans, Risk assessments, Supervisions, Liaising with families and other healthcare professionals
- Supervising the floor and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained
- Care plans writing, reviews and meetings with both residents and their family members where appropriate
- Care Audits, residents wellbeing and safeguarding
