Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home 📍 Location: Walsall, West Midlands 💷 Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + bonuses 🕒 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home to lead the launch and ongoing management of a brand-new 3-bed service in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (or a strong Deputy ready for registration) to shape a high-quality service from the ground up. As Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home, you will play a key role in embedding a child-centred culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people. Full support will be provided throughout the Ofsted registration process by a supportive and experienced senior leadership team. There is also clear progression available, including potential dual registration for the right Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home. Key Responsibilities – Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home * Lead the setup, Ofsted registration, and opening of a new children’s residential home * Provide strong leadership through recruitment, training, supervision, and development of staff * Ensure full compliance with Ofsted standards and the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) * Take overall responsibility for safeguarding, Regulation 44 and 45, and quality assurance * Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children * Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively * Build strong relationships with local authorities, professionals, and families Requirements – Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home * Proven leadership experience in a children’s residential care setting * Strong working knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding requirements * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills * Ability to manage complex situations with resilience and empathy * NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards) – desirable Salary & Benefits * Salary up to £60,000 per annum * Generous sign-on bonus * Performance and loyalty-related bonuses * Company pension scheme * Health & wellbeing programme * Cycle to work scheme * On-site parking * Long-term career progression and senior leadership support If you are an experienced Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home or an aspiring Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home ready for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.
