On behalf of a modern elderly Care Home in Dorking, we are currently seeking passionate Care Assistants to join their dedicated care team on permanent contracts working Day shifts.
- Day shifts available with paid breaks!
- 8am-8pm, 8am-2pm, 2pm-8am
- £12.40-14.20 per hour + £2ph weekend increase!
- Full Time and Part Time available
This attractive Residential Care Home is run by an established charity and offers a charming and welcoming environment with a number of homely comforts and large communal areas. The 40 bedded Home has a fantastic reputation in the local area and is also rated ‘Good’ in all areas in their CQC report. The care home is commutable on public transport, only a short walk from Dorking station and served by multiple bus routes. They have full or part-time positions available on day shifts, working 6 or 12 hour shifts. The charity reinvests all of the money back into the residents and the staff, and can support with further training and development if desired.
Full training and inductions will be provided from Senior Care Assistants and senior staff members to any new Carers joining the care team, and ongoing support and guidance is always available.
Care Assistant main duties:
- Providing personal care such as assisting with bathing, dressing and using the toilet
- Support with manual handling and assisting residents to move around the home, using the correct equipment where required
- Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants to provide a high quality of person-centred care
- Assisting residents with food and drink throughout the day
- Promoting residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full in their later years
Desirable for Care Assistants:
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker within a care home or care environment
- NVQ’s within Health and Social Care / the Care Certificate (Full training will be required)
