On behalf of a fantastic family-owned Residential Care Home in Dorchester, we are actively recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The current Manager is moving to a role closer to home, hence why the position is coming available.

  • Monday to Friday
  • £50,000+ per annum
  • 20 bedded Residential Home, elderly care
  • Good CQC rating in all areas

Within this Care Home Manager role, you will be leading a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to ensure that your residents are cared for and supported to the highest standards possible. You will hold overall responsibility for the care home and will play a key role in ensuring that the independently-owned company’s high standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the service.

As the Registered Manager, you will be a role model in everything you do and represent the home professionally with a wide range of stakeholders and external contacts. You will proactively promote the home in the local community, ensuring the high reputation of the home is communicated to potential residents and family members alike.

Care Home Registered Manager Skills and Experience:
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or Registered Managers Award
  • Preferably 2+ years of managerial experience within Care Homes
  • Have a strong understanding of CQC regulations & requirements, safeguarding, MCA & DOLS, and care planning
  • A strong communicator and motivator with experience in leading a varied staff team
Registered Care Home Manager Duties will include:
  • Being responsible for the day-to-day management of the home according to the policies and resources determined by the Employer and the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 & 2012 and subsequent amendments.
  • Liaising with local authorities and governing bodies such as CQC to ensure the consistency and wellbeing in the home.
  • Regularly liaising with residents and their families to ensure consistent care is provided throughout.
