Are you an experienced and confident Nursery Manager looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a large, busy nursery setting in Derby. This role is ideal for an experienced childcare professional who is confident managing a team, driving high standards of care and education, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of childcare professionals.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Maintain high standards of care, learning, and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and performance management.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Monitor occupancy, staffing ratios, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above).
  • Minimum of 1 year’s management experience within a nursery setting.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
