We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Deputy Manager to join the friendly team at a brand new, modern Nursery in Croydon on a full time, permanent basis.

The Nursery is based in a self-contained building which has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, inspiring, and nurturing environment for children of all ages. They offer dedicated spaces for each age group, ensuring tailored learning and development at every stage.

As Deputy Nursery Manager you will be a crucial member of the leadership team and support with the day to day management of the site. Within this you will lead a team of dedicated staff, ensuring the highest standard of learning and care. You should be familiar with all educational standards and OFSTED requirements, and be able to step in to support wherever needed within the setting.

This is a full time, permanent Deputy Nursery Manager role paying a starting salary of £35,000 per annum. You will be working for a supportive and established employer which owns and operates 2 other sites in the Croydon area. Experienced Room Leaders and Third in Charges with 2 years’ experience and Level 3 or above in Early Years Education / Children are encouraged to apply.

Nursery Deputy Manager profile:

  • Level 3 Childcare / CACHE / Early Years Qualification or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills with previous leadership experience within a Nursery setting (E.g. Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Nursery Manager)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Knowledge of safeguarding

Nursery Deputy Manager duties will include:

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in all aspects of daily running
  • Support with safeguarding for the setting, putting the welfare and safety of the children above all else
  • Regularly liaising with Parents and Carers to ensure a high level of involvement and satisfaction
