Join to apply for the Senior Web Developer role at reMarkable. We are looking for a curious Senior Frontend Developer motivated by learning, growth, and sharing knowledge with others. In this role you will help create engaging, user-friendly customer experiences, influence technology choices, and further strengthen our frontend discipline.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to pioneering new customer experiences from inception to execution in cross-functional teams.
- Maintain existing web applications.
- Optimize use of Next.JS, Tailwind, React, Sanity and other tools to build performant web applications.
- Instrument better observability.
- Create frontend web experiences that let users create, consume, and elevate their thought process.
- Enhance developer culture by continually improving the code you work with, ensuring stability through automated testing.
- Practice proactive documentation and knowledge sharing, contributing to the betterment of software through peer code reviews, sharing discoveries within departmental forums.
- Profile and optimize performance of web pages and applications.
- Positively influence our frontend development and help with selection of appropriate tools.
- Engage in discussions related to software architecture and selection of technology or frameworks.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of web development experience.
- Hands on experience with GraphQL, React, Tailwind and Typescript in medium to large-sized codebases.
- Understanding of data-driven interfaces that integrate and manipulate information from various sources.
- User experience mindset.
- Experience collaborating and communicating within cross-functional teams, working with UX and visual designers, test automation engineers and product manager.
- Experience working with design systems and hybrid apps is a benefit.

- We will consider applications on a rolling basis.
- Language requirements: Our company language is English.
- Location: London, UK.
- Travel: Some travel to Oslo will be expected.
- Visa requirements: Indefinite Leave to Remain in UK or British Citizenship.
