We're looking for a capable, people-focused HR Manager to join our team and provide a high-quality HR service across the business. This is a hands‐on generalist role for someone who enjoys being close to the day‐to‐day — supporting managers, looking after employee wellbeing, keeping our people processes running smoothly, and making sure our team feels looked after.
Purpose of the Role
- Employee Relations & Wellbeing
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and HR matters
- Support managers in handling employee relations issues including performance, absence, and disciplinaries
- Proactively monitor employee wellbeing and flag concerns early
- Foster a positive, inclusive working environment
- HR Operations
- Manage the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding through to offboarding
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation
- Oversee and administer HR systems, ensuring data integrity
- Support and coordinate payroll processes in conjunction with Finance
- Manage employee benefits administration
- Policy & Compliance
- Keep HR policies and procedures up to date and legally compliant
- Provide guidance to managers on employment law and best practice
- Support the business through any TUPE, restructure, or change processes as required
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activity, working closely with hiring managers
- Manage job postings, interview logistics, offer letters, and contracts
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new joiners
- Learning & Development
- Identify training needs across the business and coordinate relevant L&D activity
- Support the performance review process and help managers have effective development conversations
Solid experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor level. Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Confident handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Organised, detail‐oriented, and able to manage a varied workload. Proficient with HR systems and comfortable working with data. CIPD qualification (any level) — or working towards one. Experience in a fast‐paced or scaling organisation.
