We are supporting a leading financial services organisation in their search for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile technology and change programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a global environment, collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and distributed technology teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and business problems aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with customers, developers, technical leads, and product owners to define and deliver effective solutions.
  • Capture both explicit and implicit business requirements and translate them into clear functional requirements and process documentation.
  • Produce system process descriptions, functional specifications, and solution designs.
  • Create and execute tests to validate requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
  • Develop business process models, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams to support solution design and delivery.
  • Assess system and user impacts in partnership with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Design with the customer in mind, understanding user behaviour and implementing change with minimal disruption.
  • Support handovers, presentations, knowledge transfer activities, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and approaches that enhance products, services, and delivery outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating productive discussions and collaborative decision-making.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within complex technology and change environments.
  • Experience working within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
  • Experience creating functional specifications, process maps, flowcharts, and data flow diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of systems analysis and business process modelling techniques.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed development and delivery teams.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting testing activities and validating business requirements.
  • Knowledge of modern delivery practices including: A/B Testing, Feature Toggling, Canary Releases.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering customer-centric outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Owners and engineering teams.
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
  • Financial services domain knowledge.
